A MAN who was four times the drink drive limit has been jailed.
Nicholas Hitch was sent to prison after a court heard he had the very high alcohol reading while also disqualified from driving.
A breath test showed Hitch, of Old Rectory Lane, had 141 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg.
The 45 year old admitted driving a vehicle on Topsham Road, Exeter on September 25 without insurance and while disqualified from driving.
Worcester magistrates sentenced Hitch to 18 weeks in prison.
Hitch is also banned from holding a driver’s licence for 60 months and 63 days and must pay a surcharge of £154.
