A MEMBER of Redditch Rotary Club is hoping for a clear sight of the finish line at the forthcoming AJ Bell Great North Run.
It's due to be held at Newcastle upon Tyne on September 10.
Club member Steve Robson is busy training for what is the world’s largest half marathon which in turn will be help to raise funds for the club’s international project which aims to fund a mobile eye surgery facility in conjunction with The Rotary Club of Cuttack, Eastern India.
He said: “Ive been training since May and I’m aiming for a target time of 2hrs 15min."
The event will be a family affair as Steve will be running with his two daughters and his sister.
The Rotary Club president and fellow club members have been on hand to encourage Steve during training and help promote the Just Giving fundraising portal.
