The talented cast from a production company in Redditch have generously donated a feast of food to a local foodbank ahead of a new show next month.
Echoing the sentiment of Oliver Twist, the cast of TopBox Studio's Olivier! took time out from rehearsals to gather much-needed items, non-perishable food and goodies for families struggling over the winter period.
The donations were taken to AOK Number 24 on Redditch High Street and were greatly received with thanks by the Thursday staff at Redditch Foodbank.
A spokesperson for TopBox Studios said: "It's hard to think that in this day and age there are people struggling who might be dreaming about food just like the orphans in our show, so we knew we had to do something to help.
"The work being done by Redditch Foodbank is amazing and we are so proud to have given back to local people."
The performing arts group can be seen in action with their production of Oliver! at Redditch Palace Theatre from Thursday, February 8 to Saturday, February 10.
The adult theatre company will take guests on an adventure to meet the cheeky Artful Dodger and loveable rogue Fagin, join in with singing from character Nancy and boo the evil Bill Sikes.
Tickets can be booked through the Redditch Palace Theatre website at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/all-shows/oliver or by visiting the box office on Alcester Street or calling 01527 65203.
